About the ACT LOCAL Program
Act Local is currently focused on Western Australia’s Wheatbelt and Pilbara communities. But everyone can benefit. Our key objectives are to:
- inspire and engage individuals in volunteering opportunities
- support community organisations in attracting and retaining volunteers, providing training, and supporting funding opportunities
- build capacity and confidence of local people, community groups and organisations reliant on volunteers
- promote the social, personal and professional benefits of getting involved.
Helping your local area is also a great way to help yourself to grow!
About Doing Co
We inspire and support local people (‘doers’) to create the positive change they want to see in their area.
Doing Co is a social enterprise – a non-profit company on a mission. We are growing a movement of positive doers and Town Teams focused on improving their own local area, linked together by a shared purpose and values, which we have summarised in the Town Team Charter.
We have four focus areas:
- Work with Positive Partners
- Deliver online and in-person Education and Training
- Provide innovative and engaging Consulting Services
- Inspire, support, connect and promote Town Teams and DOERS
